The amount of inward investment coming into Macclesfield Town centre is amazing and demonstrates the confidence in the Town. Peaks and Plains have a mutil million pound scheme and Lidl have been given planning permission for a new supermarket in the Park Green area of the town. The people behind Altrincham Market have applied for permission to convert the former Picturedrome to a food court on Chestergate. The Grosvenor Centre shopping centre has just completed a £11 million redevelopment which has attracted TKMax to the town. Hillcreast Homes have acquired part of the Kings School site for a residential scheme and the former tax office on Churchill Way is wanted for an apartment development both schemes will have a positive effect on the town centre. We have certainly noticed an uplift in enquires from both national and local retailers who want to be in Macclesfield.
