This Christmas, visitors to Macclesfield can enjoy a delightful Elmer Trail around the town centre. Over a dozen colourful Elmer sculptures—each just over a metre tall—will be dotted across key locations including the train station, local car parks, the library, St Michael’s Church, and the Silk Museum.
Each elephant comes beautifully decorated by talented artists, with designs inspired by famous painters such as Miró, Picasso, and Hockney. While a few feature a festive twist, all of the sculptures are stunning works of art that promise to bring colour, creativity, and Christmas cheer to the heart of Macclesfield.
